    PATTERNMAKING
Tired of working with commercial patterns? Looking to design your own clothes and create a garment in any style you want? In this series you will create a basic pattern block and learn techniques to alter and customize it. In the second class in each series you will create a custom pattern using your pattern bloc. Learn to design and draft skirts, blouses, and dresses. Soon your whole wardrobe will be designed by you!

How does it work? Each patternmaking program is broken down into a two-part series. In the first part of each series (101, 201, 301) you will learn how to alter a standard pattern bloc to design countless garment styles. Using your measurements, you will create a custom bloc (a basic pattern template), tailored perfectly to your size. In the second part of each series (102, 202, 302) you will draft a custom pattern and do a mock-up of your very own design.
